PLEDGE Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of PLEDGE, a personal tool for recording and tracking charitable pledges, income-based giving calculations, donations, and standing orders. By using PLEDGE, you agree to these Terms.
Purpose of PLEDGE
PLEDGE helps users organize and track information they enter about charitable commitments and giving. The app may calculate progress, percentages, recurring amounts, and currency conversions for convenience.
No financial, tax, legal, or religious advice
PLEDGE is an organizational and calculation tool only. Information and calculations in the app do not constitute financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, or halachic/religious advice. You are responsible for deciding how much to give and for obtaining professional or religious guidance where appropriate.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining control of your account and sign-in methods and for activity performed through your account. You agree to provide information you are authorized to use and not to misuse the service.
Your data
You retain responsibility for the information you enter into PLEDGE. You should review entries, calculations, exchange rates, backups, and summaries before relying on them. Backup and export tools are provided for convenience, and you are responsible for securely storing copies you create.
Currency conversions and calculations
Exchange rates and calculated amounts are provided for tracking purposes and may differ from rates used by banks, payment processors, charities, tax authorities, or other institutions. Calculations may be affected by the data and dates you enter.
Payments
The current version of PLEDGE does not itself execute charitable donations or process payment-card transactions. A record in PLEDGE is a tracking record and is not proof that a payment was completed.
Availability and changes
We may maintain, modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves. We aim to keep PLEDGE available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Acceptable use
You may not use PLEDGE to violate applicable law, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, or misuse another person's account or information.
Disclaimer and limitation
To the extent permitted by applicable law, PLEDGE is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. You remain responsible for verifying important financial and charitable records independently. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination and deletion
You may stop using PLEDGE at any time. You can delete tracked pledge data from Settings. For account-deletion requests, contact us at the email below.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as PLEDGE develops. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are made. Continued use after an update is subject to the revised Terms.
